Photographing Real Connection. Preserving What Matters Most.
I’m a portrait photographer based in Metro Atlanta, devoted to capturing meaningful moments with warmth and intention.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Even before it became my career, I was drawn to the quiet moments, genuine connections, and everyday stories that are often overlooked.
Before photography became my full-time career, I spent many years in law enforcement.
That experience shaped the way I see people. I learned that every person has a story worth listening to, and that trust isn't earned through perfect words—it comes from showing up, paying attention, and genuinely caring.
That hasn't changed.
The camera is different.
The mission isn't.
That philosophy shapes every portrait experience I create. My goal isn't simply to take beautiful photographs—it's to help you feel comfortable enough to be yourself. From our first conversation through selecting the finished artwork for your home, I guide you every step of the way so the experience feels relaxed, personal, and meaningful. When you feel cared for, genuine moments naturally follow—and those are the photographs that become priceless over time.
Today, I simply have the privilege of serving people during some of life's happiest moments instead of its hardest ones.
Today, photography allows me to continue serving others in a different way — by preserving the stories, connections, and seasons of life that pass all too quickly.
My approach is relaxed and guided so you can simply be present while I document what matters most. During your session, I gently prompt natural interaction, encouraging genuine smiles, laughter, movement, and connection. The result is images that feel joyful, authentic, and full of life.
To me, photography is about more than beautiful images. It’s about preserving seasons of life — the laughter, the milestones, and the quiet closeness that define our stories.
I believe photographs are meant to be experienced, not just stored on a device. There’s something powerful about holding an image in your hands, seeing it displayed in your home, or flipping through an album years from now.
Time moves quickly. Children grow, seniors graduate, and families change. Photography allows us to hold onto the moments that feel fleeting and turn them into something lasting.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me with my pets, making handmade soap, or exploring a hiking trail.
If you're looking for someone who values relationships as much as beautiful photographs, I'd love the opportunity to create something meaningful together.
Tracy Vann Photography serves families, seniors, professionals, and couples throughout Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, Woodstock, Canton, Roswell, Alpharetta, Cartersville, Dallas, and surrounding Metro Atlanta communities.

Because the moments we photograph are too important to spend their lives on a hard drive. I believe your favorite images should be displayed where you can enjoy them every day—on your walls, in handcrafted albums, and in the places where your family's story unfolds. My role is to help you create lasting artwork that preserves not only how life looked, but how it felt.
